“Kuma – The Other Wife” Episode 35 Summary: A New Character Appears – Mehmet, Leyla’s Former Fiancé

Karan is once again put under pressure by Sema, who insists that he organize a lavish party as soon as possible to officially announce their marriage. She wants everything to happen without delay, but Karan refuses and clearly tells her that the timing is not right. He argues that it is too soon and that more time needs to pass before taking such a step. As justification, Karan explains that Artem already knows he is married to Ceylan, and he fears that if things are rushed, he could lose his business partnership with him—something that would cause serious problems.

Meanwhile, Gonca becomes increasingly attentive to Ferit’s behavior and realizes that he has not gotten over his feelings for Leyla. To prevent a possible reconciliation between them and to keep them apart, Gonca devises a plan. She brings Mehmet to town and lies to him, telling him that Leyla still has feelings for him. Mehmet is not a stranger in Leyla’s life—he is her former fiancé, but also an aggressive man.

Aliye reminds Karan that it is Ceylan’s birthday and asks him to take care of buying a cake. Although he tries to appear distant, Karan agrees and buys the cake. The three of them—Karan, Aliye, and Ceylan—end up celebrating in a small setting, in a simple yet emotional moment.

Later, Emir goes out into the garden with Aliye and Ceylan. Even then, Karan finds a subtle way to signal to Emir that he should keep his distance from Ceylan. His attitude does not go unnoticed, and Emir realizes that, despite everything, Karan still loves Ceylan. Even so, Emir does not give up and makes a promise to himself: one day, Ceylan will be his.

For her part, Ceylan begins to regain hope that Karan’s feelings have not completely disappeared. This hope is rekindled when, by chance, she finds her rings in Karan’s office, along with a few photos of the two of them. The discovery deeply moves her, especially when she realizes that he has kept them all this time—a clear sign that their past and their love have not been forgotten.
