The circumstances surrounding his death appear suspicious, which further strengthens Ceylan’s beliefs. She directly blames Karan for what happened, as he prevented her from speaking with Yakup before he died. Ceylan is convinced that Yakup was about to reveal the truth about who is responsible for Salih’s death, and that not being able to speak ultimately led to his death. In her view, Yakup was silenced precisely because he knew that dangerous truth.
Meanwhile, Ferit strongly reproaches Gulsen for not properly checking Mehmet’s background. He tells her that through his own investigation, he discovered that Mehmet suffers from serious psychological issues and that Leyla is therefore in real danger. Although deeply worried about her, Ferit cannot tell Leyla what he has learned because their relationship is tense and she is upset with him. As a result, Karan discovers that Emir was present at the hospital on the day Yakup died and introduced himself as his friend. This information leads Karan to suspect Emir, believing he may have played an important role in Yakup’s death.
